DAY ONE                                                                D 

Enjoy a day of culture and comfort as we journey from Tauranga to Auckland for Radiance, an unforgettable evening with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Travelling through the scenic Waikato countryside, we pause for a relaxed lunch before arriving mid-afternoon at the welcoming Ibis Ellerslie to check in and unwind. After an early buffet dinner, we head to the magnificent Auckland Town Hall for Radiance—a glorious Wagner celebration featuring conductor Pietari Inkinen and tenor Simon O’Neill. These world-renowned artists, both acclaimed Wagner interpreters, reunite to bring to life powerful excerpts from Tannhäuser and Parsifal, showcasing the composer’s most heroic and moving music. Following this extraordinary concert experience, we return to the hotel for a restful overnight stay—an inspiring end to a day of fine music, beautiful scenery, and warm New Zealand hospitality.

We begin the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before departing for downtown Auckland, where you’ll enjoy free time to explore at your leisure. Stroll along the lively waterfront at Wynyard Quarter, browse the stylish boutiques and eateries of Commercial Bay, or delve into New Zealand’s rich seafaring history at the Maritime Museum. Be sure to pause for a relaxed morning tea and soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere before we journey south. In the early afternoon, we’ll travel back to Tauranga, stopping en route for a leisurely lunch and a chance to stretch your legs, rounding off a delightful day of sightseeing, discovery, and relaxation.
