Fly direct from Auckland to Apia with Air New Zealand and be welcomed with genuine Samoan hospitality. From the moment you arrive, life slows down — guided by ocean breezes, tropical warmth, and the gentle rhythm of island life.

You’ll be staying at the Luxurious 4-star Sinalei Reef Resort & Spa, a peaceful beachfront retreat nestled among coconut palms on Upolu’s unspoilt south coast. The resort features beautifully styled modern rooms, lush tropical gardens, a lagoon-style swimming pool, a private white-sand beach, open-air dining overlooking the ocean, and inviting spaces designed purely for relaxation.  

Daily tropical breakfast and dinner are included, along with the much-loved Wednesday evening Fiafia Cultural Dinner & Show — an unforgettable evening of music, storytelling, traditional dance, and a Samoan feast.

If your idea of the perfect holiday is warm days, gentle swims, and unhurried island living, this experience alone will be more than enough.

Island Crossing, History & Heritage Approx 6-7hours

Journey across Upolu’s lush mountain interior, where rainforest, valleys, and sweeping coastal views reveal the island’s dramatic landscape. In Apia, enjoy a guided tour of Samoa’s cultural and political heart, visiting landmarks such as the First German Monument, Parliament House, the Royal Tombs, and the Lands & Titles Court.A packed lunch is included and enjoyed at a relaxed pace.The afternoon explores Samoa’s artistic and spiritual side with visits to the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum, set within tranquil hilltop gardens, and the serene Baháʼí Temple, renowned for its peaceful setting and panoramic views.

Living Culture & Local Life Approx 4-5 hours

Step into the living traditions of Samoa at the Apia Cultural Village, where culture is shared, not staged.Enjoy a captivating morning of demonstrations including tapa cloth-making, weaving, wood carving, tattooing, traditional umu (earth-oven) cooking, and the ceremonial ‘ava (kava) ritual — all explained with warmth and pride by local hosts.The experience continues with a visit to the vibrant Fugalei Market, bursting with colour, tropical fruit, flowers, crafts, and everyday Samoan life.

Beaches, Volcanoes & Island Stories Approx 7-8 hours

Discover Samoa’s natural contrasts on a guided day to breathtaking Lalomanu Beach, often described as one of the South Pacific’s most beautiful beaches. There is time to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the view.Learn about Samoa’s volcanic past through dramatic lava landscapes and island stories, with opportunities for gentle snorkelling in warm, clear waters often shared with turtles and tropical fish.

Turtle Spotting Lagoon Cruise Approx 2-3 hours

Join Manoa Tours for a peaceful lagoon cruise along Upolu’s South Coast. Travel through crystal-clear waters to observe turtles and marine life in their natural habitat, with stunning views of palm-lined beaches, turquoise lagoons, and rolling hills.A calm, memorable experience — and a highlight for many travellers.

These tours are thoughtfully paced and senior-friendly, providing deeper insight into Samoa’s culture, history, and natural beauty—without rushing or over-scheduling your stay.

Experiences will be carefully spread across the holiday, allowing plenty of time to relax and enjoy the resort in between.

To ensure comfort and quality, and depending on final numbers, the group may be divided into two smaller groups, with tours alternating across different days. This approach allows for a more relaxed pace, easier access, and a more personal guiding experience.

Participation is entirely optional, however guests who choose this package will enjoy a seamless, well-balanced extension to their Samoan holiday.

Due to a late arrival into Auckland, we stay overnight at the Jet Park Hotel Auckland Airport.

After breakfast, we travel by coach back to Tauranga, arriving home by lunchtime.
