Last Night of the Proms Overnight Show 25th Jubilee Show

DAY ONE                                                                D 

We travel north toward Auckland this morning, enjoying a relaxed journey with lunch en route to Takapuna. Weather permitting, we will pause at the beautiful Kauri Glen Walkway, a peaceful native bush reserve known for its towering kauri and tānekaha trees, some estimated to be between 300 and 400 years old. A highlight of the reserve is the impressive 60-metre treetop boardwalk, suspended 18 metres above the forest floor, offering a unique bird’s-eye perspective through the canopy.This afternoon we check in to our accommodation near Takapuna Beach, leaving time to relax before dinner at a local restaurant. The excitement builds this evening as we attend the spectacular Last Night of the Proms at the Bruce Mason Centre. Celebrating its 25th Jubilee, the Auckland Symphony Orchestra presents an unforgettable night of music, pageantry and celebration. Featuring over 100 musicians and performers, the concert combines beloved Proms classics with contemporary favourites in a festive atmosphere filled with balloons, flags and streamers. With its blend of British tradition and Kiwi spirit, this joyful performance promises a memorable evening for both devoted Proms enthusiasts and first-time attendees alike.

 DAY TWO                                                                B  

After breakfast, we check out of our accommodation and enjoy some free time in Takapuna. Take a relaxing stroll along the beach or browse the iconic Takapuna Sunday Market, a diverse variety of stalls offering fresh produce, flowers, handmade crafts, and delicious food options. Perhaps purchase something delicious for morning tea or simply settle into one of the coffee shops along the main road if that is more your Sunday vibe. We then travel south toward Tauranga, stopping for an early lunch along the way. Sit back and enjoy the scenic journey home following our memorable Proms weekend. We expect to arrive back in Tauranga at approximately 1.30pm, followed by drop-offs to your homes.
