Wednesday 2nd December 2026 D,

We depart Tauranga and travel to Hamilton, with time to enjoy dinner at Gengy's before settling in for a wonderful evening of entertainment at Clarence St Theatre. Tonight, we are delighted to see Sir Tony Robinson in An Audience with Sir Tony Robinson: From Blackadder to Alfred the Great. Best known for his much-loved role as Baldrick in Blackadder and as the presenter of Channel 4’s Time Team, Sir Tony is a master storyteller with a fascinating career spanning stage, television and history. This entertaining live show promises behind-the-scenes stories from Blackadder, Time Team and The Worst Jobs in History, together with tales from his life and his passion for the past. Tony will also explore the real history behind his new novel, The House of Wolf, bringing Alfred the Great and the turbulent world of Saxon kings and Viking raiders vividly to life. This promises to be a wonderfully entertaining evening filled with laughter, fascinating stories and nostalgic memories, as Sir Tony Robinson brings his trademark wit and warmth to the stage.
