The rail line includes 2 spirals, 3 short tunnels, 5 reversing points and several large viaducts as it climbs up to the mountain-top terminus, called the Eyeful Tower. We then make our way over to the East Coast to Whitianga tonight we will be staying at ‘The Beachside Resort' which over summer is one of NZ’s most popular holiday hot spots.

We get nice and close to the cove and explore the bays on each side. Learn how the Cathedral Cove was formed and witness the beauty of the cove itself and surrounding beaches. Sadly, we have come to our final day, however we are in for a real treat on the way home today. Situated in the Puketui Valley in 2015 Gus and Sarah Anning-Rowe built a ‘global model’ earth ship in New Zealand, in the space of less than one year – an amazing achievement. We’ll get the opportunity to view this unique property and have a catered lunch with time for questions. We will then continue our way homeward bound full of inspiration and interesting tales to share.
