DAY ONE D
Departing from Tauranga, the journey begins with a scenic drive and a relaxing comfort stop in Taupo, where there will be time for morning tea if you wish. Lunch follows at the Mess Tent Cafe, located at the Waiouru National Army Museum. Our next stop is at one of our favourite places to stock up. The Wool Company specialises in NZ knitwear, merino & possum garments with timeless appeal and long-lasting quality. Villa Candotti is an unexpected gem with an Italian Renaissance-inspired garden, orchards, fountains, a small orangery and sculpted outdoor rooms set against a landscape of rolling farmland and dairy cows. Here we enjoy our final stop of the day with a guided garden tour that’s sure to leave you in awe. A relaxing social hour sets the tone for the evening, followed by dinner at the hotel.
DAY TWO B, MT, L, D
The day begins with a visit to the Feilding & District Steam Rail Society yard for a guided tour and a short shunter and carriage ride along the tracks. Next, explore De Molen, a working replica of a 17th-century Dutch windmill, with a guide providing insight into its operation and history. A catered lunch awaits at The Milk Station in Ōtaki, followed by a guided tour of this beautifully restored venue. Once a historic dairy factory, it now features European-inspired gardens, original steel beams, fine European art, and elegant architecture influenced by early Italian design. The serene setting, with views of the Tararua Ranges, offers a unique and memorable experience. We then travel to Wellington, where you’ll have time to settle into our hotel before enjoying a relaxing dinner at the hotel restaurant—perfectly rounding off a day rich in history and culture.
DAY THREE B,L, D
This morning start with a leisurely breakfast before heading out to explore Wellington your way. You may choose to visit Te Papa, have a leisurely stroll through Lambton Quay’s vibrant streets or indulge in some retail therapy. We meet again for the ultimate pre-show occasion at the InterContinental Wellington. Here we enjoy a delicious grazing lunch while walking among WOW garments, complete with live entertainment and photo-op moments. Afterward, the day offers optional activities. For stunning views, ride the iconic Cable Car and explore the Botanic Gardens. The bus will visit all destinations, so you can choose to stay on or explore. In the evening, we’ll gather for an early dinner before heading to the TSB Arena for the spectacular WOW show, showcasing creativity and innovation.
DAY FOUR B, MT, L
Our journey concludes with a hearty breakfast before we head through the North Island. We stop for morning tea and then enjoy a delightful lunch at Tongariro Lodge in Turangi, surrounded by nature’s beauty.
