Reservation Terms and Conditions 2019/20

1. DAY TRIPS and SHOWS.

Payment required on booking.

If you must cancel, please refer to our cancellation policy (n.4). Where it is at all possible, we will endeavour to find a replacement for your seat; most times we have someone sitting on a reserve list. If this is the case, we can then hold a No.8 Tours credit note for you to use on any other tour with No.8 Tours. Reimbursement will be assessed on a case by case basis. 

*Please note no.8 Cancellation Insurance is NOT available for Day Trips and Day Shows.

 

2. MULTI-DAY TOURS

Payment of your deposit is required at the time of booking.

Payment of the Balance:

Full payment is due no later than the date stated.

*Late Reservations:

Full payment is required on booking.

Please note that prices may be subject to change from 30 days before the departure date; this is due to the various supplier’s cancellation / rebook policies. Supplement for Auckland and Christchurch member might also be affected.

 

3. MULTIDAY RESERVATIONS WITH NO.8 CANCELLATION INSURANCE.

We now offer a Cancellation Insurance to our members, for overnight trips, which will secure your refund in the event of you having to cancel.

If you cancel for any reasons up to 7 days from the departure date, you can claim a minimum 75% of the amount paid. For unforeseen reasons, 100% can be refunded. There will be a $25 excess.

In case you must cancel within 7 days of departure your case will be review by Cover-More Ltd for claim acceptance.

* Insurance must be purchased at the time of reservation and paid in full together with the deposit.

** Insurance Term and Conditions apply and will be attached to your booking

*** Activation of a Policy by way of Claim is between the Policy Holder ( You) and Cover- More NZ Ltd 

 

4. MULTIDAY RESERVATIONS WITHOUT NO.8 CANCELLATION INSURANCE.

Cancellation fees without a Cancellation Insurance: 

  • Within 45 days before travel – loss of the deposit paid. 

  • 30 days or less before travel – loss of 100% of the amount paid 

If you must cancel, where it is at all possible, we will endeavour to find a replacement for your seat; If successful, we can then issue a No.8 Tours credit up to 50% of the amount paid. Reimbursement will be assessed on a case by case basis.  

*We strongly encourage Cancellation Insurance, have a peace of mind that the amount paid is protected as per point (n.3.) Insurance Terms and Conditions apply.

5. HOLIDAY DETAILS AND CONDITIONS

Please read the newsletter carefully for those items included in the price. No allowance or refund can be made for meals, accommodation, excursions that you don’t do.

No.8 Tours strives to provide a safe, enjoyable and memorable travel experience for all passengers. 

Passengers are required to advise No.8 Tours, in advance, of any physical, medical or other special needs that require assistance.

If travelling from overseas, it is your responsibility to have a valid passport and all visas, permits and certificates required for your selected tour as well as any necessary vaccinations and to comply with all applicable laws. 

No.8 Tours is not responsible for any costs incurred because of failing to obtain necessary visas.

For all Air NZ Domestic Flights throughout New Zealand for airport security purposes we now require a form of photo identification and your correct names not nicknames.

6. INSURANCE (Over Seas Travel).

If travelling from overseas, it is compulsory that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before embarking on a No.8 Tours holiday. Please check that the insurance covers all the activities that you are going to be participating in. Some policies exclude certain activities.

7. IF WE CANCEL OR CHANGE YOUR HOLIDAY

No.8 Tours reserves the right to alter the cost, itinerary or accommodation should the occasion demand it and are not responsible for additional costs that may arise through events beyond their control e.g.: storms, strikes.

No.8 Tours will do their best, at their discretion, to select alternative accommodation, sightseeing tours and transportation to give you excellent value for money.

8. MEDICAL

Please notify No.8 Tours of significant medical issues so as we can inform you of any potential risks that may present themselves as part of a tour. No.8 Tours reserves the right to deny/refuse a booking on medical grounds. It is your responsibility to bring your medication. In the event that it has been left behind once travelling, please notify your guide, so arrangements can be made to replace this.

9. HEALTH and FITNESS.

At No.8 Tours we pride ourselves with being able to give personal service to each customer; however, our guides are not qualified to provide individuals who aren't of good able-bodied health, the time and attention they may need to make their tour a memorable experience. We are more than happy for you to join us if you have a caregiver that can come along too and help you along the way.

10. BEHAVIOUR.

No.8 Tours is not a common carrier and therefore can refuse to carry a person whose behaviour is detrimental to the enjoyment of the group. By travelling with No.8 Tours, you agree to accept the authority of the driver/guide and accept their decisions. Our staff are entitled to a safe working environment and our passengers for a great holiday. Any threats to safety, being physical or verbal, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the trip. If a guide requires a passenger to leave the trip no refunds will be given, and the passenger in question will be responsible for their travel costs from that point.
