DAY ONE MT, D
Get ready as we set off on a journey filled with stunning landscapes, coastal charm, and island delights! Along the way, we’ll stop for a bite to eat before arriving at the SeaLink Ferry Terminal in Half Moon Bay. Then enjoy a scenic ferry ride to Kennedy Point on Waiheke Island. On arrival, we'll enjoy a leisurely drive to explore Waiheke’s landscapes. If time allows, we may be able to visit Te Atawhai Whenua Forest and Bird Reserve for a short nature walk. Our next stop will be our accommodation whilst staying on Waiheke, the Onetangi Beach Apartments, a peaceful retreat near the water. This evening, we will dine offsite at one of the popular beachfront restaurants. You may want to end your evening with a stroll along Onetangi Beach before settling in for a restful night, the choice is yours.
DAY TWO B, L, D
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast in your room, you may want to take this time for a morning swim or beach walk. Today our first stop is the Gabriella Lewenz Gallery in Church Bay, a stunning earth-brick gallery overlooking the coast. Whilst here we will enjoy a guided tour where Gabriella shares insights from the surrounding gardens and sea views. Sacred Blessing Sanctuary, a serene garden and sculpture retreat. After a guided tour, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a reserved shaded area. We then continue a scenic drive via Enclosure Bay and Palm Beach. Along the way, a visit to Waiheke Ceramics for a talk on pottery craftsmanship, then head to Allpress Olives in Rocky Bay for a tasting tour featuring premium olive oils and local delicacies. After our day of food and art, we will take time to put our feet up before dining at another local restaurant in Onetangi Beach.
DAY THREE B, D
Start the day with breakfast in your room, followed by a relaxing beach walk or swim. Visit the Kauri Art Gallery near Little Oneroa Beach to admire John Freeman’s unique woodcraft. Stop for morning tea at a café of your choice in Oneroa. Next, enjoy a guided tour at the Waiheke Musical Museum, featuring storytelling and live demonstrations of rare instruments. Spend free time exploring Oneroa’s galleries, boutiques, and cafés. If this doesn't appeal you could stroll along Big Oneroa Beach, visit the Waiheke Wine Centre, or stop by Timmy Smith, a specialty shop for tea and handcrafted jewellery, the choice is yours. We return mid-afternoon to our accommodation to relax before dinner. Late afternoon, we will visit Cable Bay Vineyards for a vineyard tour and tasting, where you will explore the beautiful grounds and sample Waiheke wines. Our day will end with a delicious dinner at the vineyard’s acclaimed restaurant.
DAY FOUR B, L, D
After a leisurely morning, enjoy time to relax with a sleep-in, a refreshing swim, or a stroll along the beach before setting out to explore the eastern end of Waiheke Island. A scenic drive showcases the island’s stunning coastal landscapes, including the picturesque bays of Awaawaroa, Rocky Bay and Te Whau. The day continues at the renowned Man O' War Vineyards, where you can savour a wine tasting and enjoy lunch overlooking the sparkling waters of Man O’ War Bay. In the afternoon, discover the craft of premium spirits at Waiheke Distilling Co., with a tasting board featuring locally produced botanical vodka or gin. A scenic drive through the beautiful Orapiu Bay area completes the day before returning to the village to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY FIVE B, L
On the final day, you'll start with breakfast in your room before checking out and heading to the Waiheke Museum and Historic Village, where you will discover the island’s fascinating history. Next, visit Batch Winery, perched on Waiheke’s highest hill, offering panoramic views of sun-soaked vineyards. Enjoy an Estate Tasting paired with a delicious barrel platter board and dessert at The Hedge, the winery’s charming eatery. Afterward, it is a short drive to the Kennedy Point Ferry Terminal, where you’ll check in for the ferry back. Your tour concludes as you are dropped off, wrapping up a wonderful Waiheke adventure.
