Let’s escape for a night of indulgence as we meander to the Franklin Region, stopping for morning tea along the way. Our journey continues to the charming Addenbrooke Gardens and Villa, where we’ll enjoy a guided tour through lush gardens filled with vibrant flowers and the elegant villa’s picturesque surroundings. While on-site, a delicious catered lunch awaits before we set off for our final destination. By mid-afternoon, we’ll arrive at the luxurious Castaways Hotel, a stunning resort perched above the rugged west coast, offering breathtaking ocean views and rolling hills. Relax with free time to explore the beach, enjoy a peaceful walk along the shoreline, or simply soak in the serene vistas from your room or the on-site restaurant. As the day winds down, we’ll gather for social hour, enjoying good company before a delectable dinner, capping off a day of relaxation, discovery, and indulgence.

DAY TWO                                       B, L, 

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, we’ll set off to explore the scenic Awhitu Peninsula. Enjoy picturesque drives showcasing stunning views before arriving at the Pollok Arts and Craft Co-Op, a vibrant local gallery featuring unique works from talented regional artists. From there, we’ll head south to Waiuku to board a steam train for an exciting 2 to 2.5-hour journey. The experience includes a stop at Pukeoware Glenbrook Workshops for a fascinating glimpse into train history, along with a delightful morning tea. Our adventure continues at The Kentish Hotel, where Bill Deed will share captivating stories about the hotel’s rich heritage and the history of the Awhitu Peninsula. A delicious lunch follows, allowing us to soak in the charm of this iconic building. Finally, we’ll embark on a leisurely drive through the rolling countryside, passing through Tuakau, Pukekawa, and Churchill, before arriving home with wonderful memories of the day.
