Travel West to Hobbiton and Experience Shire Enjoyment

Today we head over the Kaimai's, stopping for morning tea, then onto Hobbiton to find out what all the fuss is about. This is a must-do. Forget that you haven't seen or may not be interested in the movie; this is New Zealand's version of Disney Land. Go from driving through beautiful Waikato farming country to stepping into another world. It is like "Hobbits" have just walked out of their village, their fires still going and their washing hanging on the line. Take a guided tour through this wonderland and hear the humorous story of how an average New Zealand sheep farm became "Middle Earth". After the tour, make your way to the Marquee adjacent to The Green Dragon Inn for a delicious buffet lunch served from a specially themed table filled with hobbit fare, followed by a complimentary exclusive Hobbit beverage to conclude your adventure in Middle earth.
